Happy New Year 2016!

To Celebrate the New Year, I would love to share some of the trends we’ll be seeing in 2016.

1. Two-Toned Kitchen Cabinet

Keep upper cabinets white or neutral and bring a little fun with funky colored lower cabinets. This is also a great way to renovate your kitchen step-by-step! I love the white and grey combination below. Feels timeless.

Tired of shiny stainless steel? Well Now you can find Black Stainless Appliances as well as Bronze!

4. Extra-Large Format Tile

Large format tiles such as 12 by 24 inches have already been making their way into kitchens and bathrooms. Now Get ready for EXTRA-LARGE formats such as 31 by 71 inches (that’s almost 3 by 6 feet!). Larger tiles make a room look grand and make installation easier, and shorter! Love the tile installation in the photo by Ann Sacks

5. Bidets

New year, New Style

Growing up my parents always added a bidet to our new homes Bathroom. The concept of a separate bidet never took off in America until Now….

6. Statement Mirrors in Bathroom

So long medicine cabinet. Hello Statement Mirrors! Think of creative ways to add light in the bathroom.

7.  Bold Powder Room

New year, New Style

A powder room is a perfect place to add a big dose of style in any home! Now there are many options of wallpaper and textures to add to wall covering.

8. Heated ENTRYWAY floor

New year, New Style

While Heated flooring has been used in bathrooms and kitchens they now make their ways into our entrance. It’s perfect for Colder areas to help melt away snow from boots and dry water faster!

9. Punched Up Kitchen

New year, New Style

Going along with the two-toned kitchen. A white kitchen with a Pop of color is very in trend right now! I love this look because it avoids a sterile look which can happen in all white kitchens.

Are there any trends that surprise you? What trends will you bring into your home this New Year?
