If you’re anything like me, the item which takes the most space in your cupboard is spices!

I have all the spices you can think of! We cook a lot and I like to try different meals on a regular basis. The rule in our house is that we never eat the same meal twice.  Lately I realized that my spice shelf is so out of control that I sometimes I buy spices only to realize I already had it. I am sure I can’t be the only one!

I did some research online and found a great way to store spices… on the wall

What you’ll need:

1. A metal sheet cut to size (your home hardware store can cut it for you for a small fee)

metal sheet

2. 4 Toggle Boalts ( the spice rack needs to be anchored to a wall specially if you have a dry wall)

toggle

3. Spice jars ( I used these from Canadian tire)

jar

4. Tools:  Large drill bit, drill, screwdriver.

Instructions:

1.  In order for the toggle bolts (which are quite large) to get into the wall, you will need to pre-drill holes big enough for them to fit into. The holes will be huge and quite scary, but anchoring is necessary!

2. Install Metal sheet

3. Add your spice jars

4. Enjoy the simple transformation

What do you think? Would this spice rack save some space in your cupboard?
