Ever since Narcissus fell in love with his own reflection in the water, mirrors have been an important theme in literature.  In the past century, mirrors have also been an important part of our homes. Whether it’s in the entrance to have a last look on your way out, or a full length mirror in the bedroom to have a full look, or  in a narrow hallway to give the illusion of a larger space, mirrors occupy a major part of our lives!

I rounded up my favourite mirrors this season:

This Rope mirror from the Zone is my favourite design! I love the combination of metal and rope. To me, this mirror could mix well with any decor. It has traditional elements with the round shape and metal, while the rope adds a bit of cottage!

Talk about functionality, a mirror and a hook combined together! This mirror would look good in an entrance, a mud room, and even in a child’s bedroom.

This one is timeless! The brushed nickel finish and the pattern make it hard to resist. It would look good on a console in the hallway.

The Sunburst mirror seems to re-invent itself every year, with every designer. It’s very traditional with the gold finish, but it brings a ray of sunshine into every home.

Ikea is well known for ultra functional furniture. I love this standing mirror with storage behind. It’s perfect for a dressing room or a small master bedroom with no walk-in closet (because not all of us are lucky enough to have a walk-in!)

I love everything Vintage. To me a room is never complete without a little vintage element!  I love this Vintage frame with its aged look.

To add a little exotic in a room without going overboard, I love the shape of this mirror! It reminds me of a moroccan tile.

So what do you think? Which is the greatest of them all?

Do you ever have a hard time finding the right mirror for your space?
