Gia is a single mom of three beautiful girls. Like a lot of mothers, she has put herself last for the past few years.
Before:
The room had no cohesive style, the furniture was mismatched and the walls were bare.
The main problem area was the corner below, which Gia used for book storage.
Constraints : Gia had a limited budget of 700$ for this room and loved that purple wall.
After:
I was inspired by Gia’s current red curtain pannels…I chose to take the red/purple concept a little further. I got this beautiful duvet set at Costco which is the star of the room!
Since the wall was lacking in art work, and Gia had a hard time picking art work for her walls I decided to create the three frames on top of her headboard with glittered cardboard. The three letters are the name of her daughters: Jemima, Monique and Caroline. I also added a chiffon flower on the wall that the eldest daughter had recently made for mother’s day!
To hide the storage nook, we added a curtain from the ceiling. We also replaced the mismatched side tables and had a custom unit made for the television.
Adding the same curtain panels to the wardrobe and getting the tall dresser finalized Gia’s bedroom.
