I have recently started offering a new service to home owners: “Xpress Transformation”
This service is tailored to home owners that are looking to put their house on the market. In just a few hours I use whatever furniture and accessories are in the space to ”stage” the property. This is ideal if the house is being put on the market imminently and pictures will be taken right away.
Last week a real estate agent called for my help, as while the home owners had a specific sense of style, the real estate agent wanted to depersonalize the condo to appeal to more buyers. The home owners didn’t have a budget to pay for rental furniture, but I told the real estate agent that what I could do was create a better atmosphere with what the home owners already had.
The only trick was to make sure they were open to storing certain items. It turned out that the home owners were very collaborative in the process!
I showed up on the Saturday morning with boxes, newspaper and post-its!
I did a quick tour of the place I had never seen before and then I tagged items green if I wanted to keep them or red if I wanted them to be put in storage. In the end everyone was amazed at the difference it can make to change the layout of a room or remove clutter.
Here are the main rooms of the condo that were cluttered. In the picture I have yellow arrows for pieces that I moved or red arrows for anything that was put in storage.

It’s been proven, a new home on the market gets the majority of visits and interest in the first few weeks.
I tell homeowners to be proactive. Instead of trying to put your house on the market as is and wait a few weeks before staging…Why not call a professional to help you present your home in it’s best light right away?
